Care Instructions
Before using it for the first time, soak your chasen in warm water for 5 to 15 minutes. The bamboo knot in the center will open fully and your chasen will be ready to use.
After use run it under hot water (do not use soap).
Pat your chasen dry and store it on a chasen stand to
keep its shape.
A chasen will last between 6 months to 1 year depending
on the frequency of use. Once the prongs begin to break, it is time to replace
it.
